Not only did I manage to visit Japan, I went alone for a week and traveled Tokyo, then met up with a group and spent a MONTH doing archaeology in Hokkaido. It was beyond amazing. It was so weird camping in tents in this little Japanese farming village, digging up 16,000 year old obsidian artifacts, popping down into town at night, using the community bathhouse… I miss Japan and will definitely be going back (I even signed up for JET!)

I’m so happy I finally finished this. It took almost 6 years because I took the scenic route, so to speak, but it’s over now! :D
With my current course load and none of my professors willing to offer extensions, sleep is not an option!
