I’ve been shopping around a design lately, to all my artist and tattoo artist friends. It incorporates a wrought-iron old-fashioned birdcage with blackberries and blackberry leaves around the bottom. I also want script with it, somehow, but I haven’t decided what exactly I want yet… that might be a later addition.
Ideally this tattoo would be about 6-7 inches high on the right side of my back.
“If the world were merely seductive, that would be easy. If it were merely challenging, that would be no problem. But I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day.” ~E.B. White
“The feelings that hurt most, the emotions that sting most, are those that are absurd; the longing for impossible things, precisely because they are impossible; nostalgia for what never was; the desire for what could have been; regret over not being someone else; dissatisfaction with the world’s existence. All these half-tones of the soul’s consciousness create in us a painful landscape, an eternal sunset of what we are.” ~Fernando Pessoa
