Book review ...

“Decisive” by Dan and Chip Heath.

There was always a spiritual exercise that puzzled me. Thank God, that He has already delivered the answer to whatever need, problem, etc. It seems that if you pretend whatever you need is already done at a future date, and why or why not it was successful, you get a clearer view of the methods, and techniques for the failure or success.

It’s that hindsight that directs to the best conclusion. For me, it’s to pretend that I’ve learned to control my tongue and use it for God. It’s six months from now, why did I succeed? Which scriptures did I use, which techniques did I use? This is faith in action to believe that it has already happened. Now I get it.

This was an

attempt at putting a blank space as a goal. Just to see if I could do it. Nope, not yet. I want to play more with my computer and the internet. But, now I’m finding it a struggle to paint and draw, everything and nothing gets in the way. I’m sitting and staring a lot. That’s my body and minds antidote to life’s stress.

A few minutes with my Dad

We started talking about his childhood on a farm in a Finnish community in norther Ontario Canada. He discussed his evening routines, such as doing his homework, listening to the radio. This was a great start. It sure beats TV.
