I thank the Lord for:
Having Dad home now. His colour is good and he’s moving around. He was happy with his hospital experience, the staff at both places were lovely with him, but then he’s a sweet man.
Mom fussing over Dad, I know she’s happy.
Hiring our neighbour to blow snow, my Dad was amiable to that. Our neighbour is a really good guy, and trustworthy. We’ve known him for years.
2 days of rest for moi.
I praise and thank God for:
My Dad’s speedy recovery from his coronary issues.
He’s going to be released from the hospital tomorrow morning.
The expression of relief on Mom’s face.
The amazing medical procedures available today.
Friends and co-workers who have reached out to help us. Neighbours who cared enough to call my Mom when they hadn’t seen Dad for a few days.
My Dad had a mild heart attack early Tuesday morning. Thankfully he had the sense to ask Mom to get an ambulance, rather than tolerate it. Poor guy! But you know, he’s looking better than he has for a couple of years and is, as we speak, undergoing an angiogram to see what’s what. He’s 85.5 years old, he’s so brave. My Mother’s very brave too, it’s been extremely tough on her, of course.
Sunday, just past, attending a God worshiping, Jesus praising, Spirit loving Pentecostal service which combined 3 churches in a town 45 minutes south from where I live. Amazing!
Cold night’s walk home from work.
Sorting out complicated issues at work.
Metal studs that I strap to my boots. To stay vertical.
