Already taken 3 semesters of it at Indiana University Bloomington. I’ve fallen sorely behind, though, so I’m taking a semester off to play catch-up. I’ve taken German, Spanish, and Chinese as well, and with those languages I was always easily able to log it into my brain in a way that I could use it without really having to think too hard. Not so with Japanese thus far. I really need to pursue this on my own as I don’t think that any class is going to be able to get it into that area of my mind for me. All that continuing is going to do is provide me with more material to get clogged up in there.

I did this a long time ago. It’s tough work, so don’t make any ridiculous expectations for yourself. I can’t stress enough to get some real information on weight loss, don’t take a diet book’s word for it. Do the research, real research. You’ll need to know how your body works. After you understand the physical parts, know the emotional parts. You’ll need more than vanity motivating you along. Also, have several ways to measure your progress. Pounds lost isn’t always the best way. Maybe do waist measurements, challenge yourself with an exercise program, or other ways to watch your health. Use both exercise and diet, and diet doesn’t necessarily mean a cut in calories. Not all calories are created equal. Exercise is imperative. As you lose weight, your metabolism will drop, not only because you’re not getting the same work loading yourself around all the time, but because your body will be trying to compensate for the weight loss, thinking that there’s a famine going on. And once your ball gets rolling, stock up on warmer clothing. I never felt cold until I lost the excess weight. lol Any questions, I’m sure I could help or else direct you somewhere that can.
