I say not worth it as in, it’s not worth getting into, not that it’s not worth surviving. I spent 11 years as a military dependant and it pretty much ruined mine and my family’s lives. We still have to deal with the aftermath now that we are “free” of it. There were a couple of good parts to it, but the bad by far outweighed anything good. We almost lost my dad several times and I myself almost died twice as a result of being a military family. The military is not about making peace; why does any country need a military? To defend against attacks and/or to attack other countries. Those are the only reasons for a military. The military is about war. It will never be about peace and the ones who suffer from it the most are the soldiers and their families. Overall, the military is not worth getting into no matter how much they are willing to offer to new recruits.
The country of Andorra does just fine without a military. Possibly even better than some countries with militaries; they have the highest life expectancies on Earth.
