I went on a camp in the mountains around the Western Cape (South Africa) when I was about 14 or so. It was a perfect summer’s night with not even a breath of wind, so the group of us decided to rather sleep under start than under a tent. I have to suggest trying it just once… there is something about falling asleep while looking up at the stars, that just puts everything into perspective. Till today I still have to sleep as close as possible to a window or glass doors so as to see the starts at night.
