It’s been 7 months. Am I finally done with periods?! Emotions have evened out, hot flashes diminished. Could it be I’m finally thru it???

This would be amazingly awesome! I’ve been a graphic artist for 11 years, currently going to college to learn animation. I love Pixar films!
I’ve lived all my life (54 years) in Ohio and I have never gotten used to the cold, snow, and cloudy days. The older I get, the more it bothers me. I want, no, I NEED to move somewhere sunny and warm. Arizona is my first choice. But how do I leave my aging, widowed mother behind? She refuses to move with me.

Yippeee!! I signed up for yoga class today! I can’t wait!
ooooommmmmmmmmmmmm
This is an amazing book! Makes you look at life in a whole new way.
Due to the hurricane, I’ve been without power for 4 days now. So what do I do? Run to mommy, ‘cause she has power and hot water. And I think I want to live off grid?!! LOL OK, granted if I was truly off grid I would have alternate ways to get my water out of my well, and a way to heat it and way to cook and keep the perishables. Looks like I’m a loooong was from being free of the grid.
Has anyone on here done this? What was your experience? Did it help you to figure out this life better? I’ve read books on the subject, but would like to hear from others who have done this. I think it would be interesting to learn what and where I’ve been.
I took a class in watercolors a couple years ago. It was both enjoyable and frustrating. That’s a difficult medium to work with! So I’ve got all the supplies, I just need to take the time to sit down and paint!
I love my 3 cats! They each have their own personality and are such fun to have around.
Fast food of any kind is horribly unhealthy, no matter how “healthy” they try to convince you it is. It’s also very addicting. I urge everyone to see the movie “Supersize Me” and/or read the book “Fast Food Nation.” They will change the way you look at fast food. I’ve kicked the fast food addiction and haven’t regretted it for a moment!
This sounds like a fun thing to try, not so much to see myself on screen as just to see “behind the scenes” in shooting a movie. I hear it’s a lot of waiting around, but I still think it would be interesting to do at least once.
doing what I want when I want, eating what I want (popcorn for dinner, anyone?), not having to explain to anyone why I got home late, the freedom to make my own choices…I could go on and on. I love living alone. Yes, there are lonely times, and I would recommend to anyone living alone to have a pet. I’d be lost without my kitty-cats! Living alone helps you to find who you really are.
All the comments I’ve seen on here all say “worth doing”. Yet I have reservations. I mean, it’s my EYESIGHT we’re talking about! Anyone out there think it’s NOT worth doing? Oh, to be finished with wearing glasses, to be able to see! I sure would like to get this done.
After my dad died last year of colon cancer, I decided it was time to change my eating habits. I eliminated all meat from my diet, as well as processed foods. I simply wanted to eat better, but as an added bonus I dropped 12 pounds without even trying! I try to eat raw as much as possible. It’s challenging to eat no processed food, after years of Velveeta, ramen noodles, and all that stuff. But kicking that habit has made such an improvement in my over-all well being!
I’ve gone thru my stuff and gotten rid of a lot. Still more that could be disposed of thru Freecycle, Goodwill, friends, family. It’s definitely a liberating feeling to get rid of unnecessary stuff!
I plant a veggie garden every year. Just can’t beat fresh, sun-warmed tomatoes!
I’m lucky enough to live in the country, so city lights don’t interfere with my star gazing. It’s amazing to lay in the back yard and watch the stars and meteors and ponder how insignificant we actually are in the big scheme of things.
I want to get in the habit of doing this. Getting started is the hardest part.
