I thought the piercing I wanted was a venom piercing, but it’s actually a horizontal surface piercing. The piercing experience was pretty bad though, and it was a pretty famous guy in the piercing world who did it. I was basically sitting in the chair for a good 20 minutes because he couldn’t get the needle all the way through, then tried different sized needles….then couldn’t get the teflon through, tried different sized bars…...(sigh) I never cried hysterically through a piercing before, and I have 20 of them.
Good luck trying to find someone who’ll do it. Surface piercings aren’t most piercers favorite things to do, especially on the tongue. I’m extremely lucky I didn’t lose my taste, or that it’s rejected (it’s been about 7 months since I got it).
Overall, it’s one of my favorite piercings, and almost nobody has it. Anytime a piercer sees it, they comment on how well it looks and how lucky I am I can still taste. But the piercing process itself sucked.

and I want to do it again! I went all the way from Jersey to California and went with this awesome group from Bungee America. I did 3 jumps (frontward, backward, and the scary but insane Lumberjack jump) and it kept getting better with each jump.
They counted down from 5 super fast, and you have no time to be scared and back out. I recommend it to anyone. I’m deathly afraid of heights, so don’t use that as an excuse. The adrenaline is unreal.

I went to the salon today and trim. I already have pretty short boyish/fauxhawkish hair. So halfway through the cut I said, “it’s still pretty long. Just buzz it off.” And I did. Not bald-blad, but a #3. And it kicks ass.
I can’t stop rubbing my head, and seeing people’s reactions is awesome, hahaha. I think it actually makes me look more feminine, since I was scared I would look like a boy. But I love it. It was like $20 to cut and it’s the best haircut I’ve ever done. I wonder how long I’ll maintain it? Maybe I’ll do a mini mohawk next week.
