I spent several weeks creating my family cookbook for my mother and grandmother with my extended family. We gathered the family recipes and our own favorite recipes and created a cookbook with www.TheSecretIngredients.com. The final cookbook was gorgeous and brought tears to our eyes!

It’s a wonderful project to get all your family members interacting and enjoying one another!

My family and I recently ordered two cookbooks from Secret Ingredients (http://www.TheSecretIngredients.com) as gifts for my mother and grandmother. In celebration of their years in the kitchen cooking our meals with love, we collected their recipes and our own favorite recipes.

The website made this very process very simple. Each person can enter their own recipes so that one person doesn’t have to do all the work. Plus, you get to customize the look and feel of each book and add photographs and a Dedication. We all wrote personal notes on our recipes about each woman and our memories of cooking and sharing food with them. Secret Ingredients provided excellent customer service, and they even checked in often to answer any questions, etc.

When the cookbooks arrived, they were stunning. It is truly a wonderful thing to see the history of your family organized and presented in a beautiful, heirloom book, and illustrated with cherished family photographs. The books brought tears to more than a few eyes, and were immediately recognized for what they were: true family treasures. These cookbooks will carry our family memories, stories, pictures and recipes down through the generations to come. Now we don’t have worry about these great recipes being lost!

I definitely recommend creating your own cookbook! I included a picture of our final book.
