in a nutshell, it’s simple, spare, high on comfort, open to adjustments and High quality (meaning no cheapy stuff, and low on quantity) and lends towards conscious shopping but going on only 2 sprees a year for things needed.

This isn’t so much a giving up of this. Life is about more than “wheres”—--(love to have a summer house in New England!maybe spend summers at Acadia National Park as a retiree?) I do like the aridity and the mountains of the west though.
