I lost twelve pounds in a week this January in order to meet a weight standard for the Army. Since then, I have kept all but one or two pounds of it off and I plan to lose more. Why? So that I never, ever have to do that again. That was one of the most miserable weeks of my life – barely eating, running six miles per day, plus half an hour in the sauna on the last two days. I don’t recommend it for anyone unless there’s a very good reason.

I’m in England and studying abroad. I currently have at least one drink per night, usually much more on the weekends. I am currently in my second week.
Picked up this bad boy last week. I took it to a skeet range on Friday and put a few rounds of birdshot through it. Didn’t do too bad either, considering that it has an open choke and the M590 isn’t exactly a skeet gun. I purchased it with home defense in mind.
Mossberg M590
Caliber: 12 gauge, 2 3/4 or 3 inch shells
Magazine Capacity: 8 rounds + 1 in chamber
Nation of Origin: USA
The M590 is a militarized version of the M500, featuring stronger internal components, a heat shield, and a bayonet lug. As such, it is one of the most reliable shotguns in the world and is currently in use with the US military and police departments throughout the world. Also included in the photo are thirteen rounds of tactical buckshot on a bandoleer and a little something to show that this isn’t just a stock photo :)
