How I did it: I just did it! Went to Blogger and started looking at the templates and just did it! I have things to say and I am going to say it. Doesn't matter if anyone is listening, it is my tiny speck of the world and I am going to use it! Check out my blog: bizinbk.blogspot.com Read how I did it…
How I did it: I remained committed to excellence. When I started the course was already 1/2 completed. It took me at least 5 full days, 12 - 14 hours in front of my laptop, in the house, during the best days of summer, but it was worth it! My course is AWESOME! and I don't have to worry about it during the semester. I created a checklist, and lots of tables to keep me organized and I just stayed in and read and planned. This is a different type of plan… Read how I did it…
1. What did I learn last week?
Man, I learned so much but I think the thing that I learned the most is that I have to be authentic, I MUST release the people that are not working for me.
2. What was my greatest accomplishment over the past week? Volunteering in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy and asking a complete stranger out to a friendly dinner. By the time I asked we were not longer complete strangers :-) it was great, I think I made a new friend.
3. Which moment from last week was the most memorable and why? Most memorable…the hurricane!
4. What’s the #1 thing I need to accomplish this week? Talk to Dr. Tobin, grade all these papers, draft a policy question, VOTE!!!!!!!
5. What can I do right now to make the week less stressful? Prayer for guidance and support. Thank God.
6. What have I struggled with in the past that might also affect the upcoming week? As always, watching too much TV
7. What was last week’s biggest time sink? TV
8. Am I carrying any excess baggage into the week that can be dropped? Yes! I can stop thinking about TS b/c she is not thinking about me!
9. What have I been avoiding that needs to get done? My policy paper!
10. What opportunities are still on the table? I still have an opportunity to volunteer and join a gym! I may also visit the church my new acquaintance told me about :-)
11. Is there anyone I’ve been meaning to talk to? hell yeah, TS, KT
12. Is there anyone that deserves a big ‘Thank You’? ...thinking…idk right now
13. How can I help someone else this coming week? I can begin volunteering
14. What are my top 3 goals for the next 3 years? In 3 years I want to graduate w/a dissertation award, I want to move :-), I want to get married.
15. Have any of my recent actions moved me closer to my goals? I am closer to a topic! that I am very interested in! I am writing much more consistently and reading a lot too!
16. What’s the next step for each goal? An advisor is needed! I was thinking about trying online dating…
17. What am I looking forward to during the upcoming week? this week, nothing much ;-(
18. What are my fears? That I will have to go through this process alone. I have already but as I enter phase 2 of this program, I eally will like to have a number one supporter.
19. What am I most grateful for? Jesus Christ, my family and ew friendships—Kamika and Adjoa, both fresh and new but I feel good about them and they too are doctors. Well Kamika is a student like me and Adjoa is a medical doctor right now.
20. If I knew I only had one week to live, who would I spend my time with? oh man, I would spend it volunteering my time with the most vulnerable in society, the elderly, the babies, the mentally infirmed.
