Why I Want To Do This
Because Sunday nights are so incredibly depressing, and hardly anything is open.

How I did it: My fiance and I got a discount coupon for bowling. Last Sunday, we were bored, so we called up and found out that they were open til around 8:30pm. When we got there, they gave us MORE coupons, so we went again this week. Who cares if neither of us bowl more than 60 points a game... it was fun. Read how I did it…
Clarification Of Goal
Yeah, this one’s a little vague. The goal here is more building the skills that will allow me to learn any topic I choose, rather than learning something specific.
Why I Want To Do This
I’m all in favour of learning, just not of schooling.
How I Will Do This
The Self Made Scholar site, amongst other websites, have some excellent articles. I’ll read those and see where I end up.
I have decided that I have learnt to drive when two conditions are met:
- I have gotten my P(rovisional) plates.
- I can drive for at least one hour along familiar routes by myself without feeling distressed.
Why I’m Doing This
It’s useful. And because my mother never wanted me to (long story short, she expected me to be her slave for the rest of her life – HA!). I’ve had my Learner license for over two years, but I haven’t learnt to drive yet. Well, I had three lessons about two years ago. The driving instructor stuck me in the car, told me “Drive,” and then stuck his hand on my knee often enough that I knew it wasn’t an accident.
How I’m Going To Go About This
Let’s make this clear – I don’t trust cars. They are big, lumpy and fast, and I have no idea how they work. I need more of a theoretical knowledge than most people. I need to know what to do in situations like the brakes failing, or what do I do if I see someone about to collide with me. So I’ll just have to pepper my fiance with questions as we go along. He will be my primary driving instructor. By law, I have to do ten hours of lessons with a “qualified” instructor. I am not looking forward to that, but hopefully we can find a non-perverted one. Either that, or I’ll have my fiance sit in the back seat.
