Raise chickens for eggs

I have a bunch of day old chicks arriving in the mail today or tomorrow. All hens and good brown egg layers. I know it will take 5 months or so before they start laying so I’m getting in now rather than later.

I cant wait till we get home grown eggs… so much better than the dreck in the supermarkets.

Were getting a mix of Australorps, Barred Plymouth Rocks, Red Sex Links and Black Sex Links.

Ive upgraded my mando from a rogue to a much nicer Ibanez M511SBS. The quality is like night and day.

So its back to basic learning for me, which is tough and repetitive, since I know what I want to achieve but the fingers wont comply :)

We had our wee un the other night! Its so amazing to be part of the birth.

Mr Alexander Kai George is 8lbs 3oz and 22 inches long and doing fine like his mum, he appeared just 2 days before our wedding anniversary so it was a nice gift.

Life is going to be very interesting going forward!
