How I did it: I met an amazing dance teacher who is able to give her private lessons through a friend. That was very lucky! Now she takes BOTH ballet and tap!!I had to be patient, because my life was not on a steady schedule, my finances were a mess, I didn't (still do not) own a car, etc. I started medical school again, moved... She is also taking violin and music theory. I was only able to do all this with the help of my mother because she retired. M… Read how I did it…
How I did it: Actually, I LEARNED it from being in the first HEALTHY relationship of my life, in which my boyfriend forced me to make decisions without taking him into account. I don't have to be with him so much - we want to be together, but the clinginess and neediness of the past is gone. I am a PASSIONATE person, and I realized I could convey this passion without literally becoming attached to another. He forced me to make my own decisions, and I b… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I received financial aid from the medical school to cover my expenses. This was after they granted me (kindly!) an additional $15,000 I owed due to health insurance, an awful experience where I was not paid for my research and my grant was "taken back", and trying to have my 2 and 4 year old through a divorce in which my ex-husband got everything I had. I let him take it all, so I wouldn't have to argue with him, or fight in court. After T… Read how I did it…

Since moving, I even made the decision to put valuable antiques on the curb.
Hopefully, someone will take them!!
I even threw away MY PROM DRESS, which also served as the dress I got MARRIED IN. It wasn’t a “for real” wedding, anyway. I don’t even have pictures. I guess it was real enough for a divorce, though.
I feel great!! I still have a lot more to go through, though.
I try to give things to people, but if it takes too long – I just have to toss ‘em.
I was so mad when my ex first wanted a regular child care schedule – without regard to any changes due to my medical school schedule. It worked out GREAT in the end. I needed to plan this way!
It took MANY hours to work out all the scenarios, and now I don’t have to worry abut balancing all of the areas of my life as much. I made the most logical decisions, and now it just runs like an engine I built myself!!
