Last Saturday I sold some of my stuff at a garage sale. It was hard to get started – identifying things to sell and pricing them – but once it was happening and I loosened up, it was kinda fun. I liked negotiating for the most part. I made about $100, which is huge since I don’t like letting go of anything. Now, I’m actually thinking of what else I could sell. This could be a step toward a whole new me. Well, me 2.0, at least. =D

I recently moved and my rent is $200 more a month than before. I’m trying not to be negative about this; its a change but won’t totally break the bank. I just need to buckle down with spending less on eating out (hard because I love to eat out) and shifting how I look at funds/spending. Plus, any dent, however small, in my debt is good. Right? Its like losing weight; the pounds come off slowly but its about making true change to keep it off over the long haul.
Sigh!!! Can someone remind me of this from time to time?
Well, I did complete the Muddy Buddy in June. A great event, by the way. Crawling thru mud at the end of a fairly difficult trail was most excellent. Plan to sign up next year! But since then, I haven’t been doing anything healthy. Quite the contrary.
I’ve been eating out most days/nights as I was in the process of moving residences, spending most of my waking, non-working, moments at home packing. Then, I’ve been having fat and sweet cravings. This is beyond the usual monthly hormonal shift. I’m thinking its stress related. I just completely moved into my new place this past weekend. So, now I need to make time to workout and cook meals.
A friend wants me to do “Body for Life” with him, to keep him on track. I’ve done it a few years ago for 3 months. Lost 10 lbs on it. Eating every 2 hours was difficult but the freebie day was really nice. I also was drinking water more. Maybe I should.
Well, whatever I do, I just need to start. Time won’t stop for me.
