I bought a kit, drying board, and a stand today. I’m hoping by starting early I’ll know how to do this by Easter

I really want to try ice skating, eventhough I’ll probably fall on my butt..

So I applied on Christmas Eve at the post office. And my passport should be coming soon! I can’t wait! :)

Specifically I want to learn bead weaving.

:) YAY!! So I started today and built one little fairy house, not very sturdy, but it came out SO much better then I had anticipated!
I used a plastic pudding cup, cut a little door in the side, covered it in clay (I only had pink! Yikes!), and pressed stones and acorn tops into it. That looked ok, but too “fairy beach-house” with the pink peeking out. So I took moss and poked it in all around between the stones. Then I took a semi-thick piece of plastic and stapled it into a cone shape for the roof. I took the extra moss and (don’t laugh) stapled it to the roof. It actually worked really well. The roof just sits on top of the house, which I may have to fix in case it gets really windy. I have never been very good at building things, but I am so happy with my little house! It looks AMAZING. Like the fairies built it themselves. It reminds me a little of the Hobbit’s houses.
My little house is now nestled in some mossy gnarled roots of a tree, overlooking my flower bed. I don’t think I am going to tell anyone about it, it seems like the kind of thing you should just discover.
If I can find a way to get the pictures off my phone I will post some.
Now that I have one, and see how good it came out, I want more! A whole tiny village among my flowers :)

I wanted to do this since I was a kid. And since they seem to be pretty popular here in New England, I’ve been seeing alot about them lately. There are tons of websites where you can buy little fences and furniture, and even the houses themselves if you’re so inclined.

My boyfriend took me on my first ever carousel ride today! :) I rode a zebra and it was such a nice experience! I recommend trying it at least once.

ok.. so I just checked my credit score and it says i have “excellent” credit. I feel really good about this. It makes me feel like maybe I am still in control in spite of all that I owe. ..Just have to keep my head above water.
I took the credit card with the highest interest and have been making payments whenever I can, above the minimum due, and just pay the minimum on the others. $20 here and there can really add up and right now its better than putting that in a savings account at a low rate. Or spending it..

Since most of the time I wont read a book a second time, I am putting all my read books up for trade on www.BookMooch.com. That way someone else can enjoy them, they wont clutter up my basement, and I can get some new ones too! :)

My Thai cookbook arrived today! I was a little disappointed because there are no pictures. But, I read some of the recipes and they sound delicious and easy enough. Some of the ingredients sound kind of strange though..”fish sauce”? I am thinking my kitchen is going to be very smelly..

I know this is going to feel so great when I finally reach this goal. I still have good credit, but I have a lot of debt from when I was younger. It is TOUGH to pay off! I feel like I’m just running on a treadmill most of the time. But, I am down a big chunk from where I was less than a year ago. So that’s a good start..

This is so worth doing! I used to do it with my sister all the time, and even though we just sat there together and watched the screen, I really feel like it made us a lot closer. Our junk of choice: soft pretzels, mini pizzas, cheez-its and cookies. :)

I’ve had dreams about tornadoes since I was a kid. Probably something psychological and has nothing to do with the actual storms.. BUT.. after seeing hundreds in my sleep I’d like to see a real one.

But I really want to! I think I would love it. I was on a pony once for about 5 minutes when I was six. I don’t think that counts.

Today I ordered what is supposed to be one of the best Thai cookbooks out there..
