Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

Silouette at sunset

There was a wonderful sunset on Lyme Regis pebble beach, the colours in the sky lasted for about an hour changing constantly, going through all shades of yellow, orange, red, pink, purple, etc really one of the besst sunset I have seen.
I made the silouette by stacking pepples.

The place is just beside the harbour wall where was filmed one of the famous scenes of The French Lieutenant Woman “when they kissed on a wall”.

heal my arm (read all 5 entries…)
Can't do more for now

...as I have problem to the wriste of the same arm and in different places in my back due to my work. And each time I tried to do the full exercises for the shoulder, it hurted my wrist and back badly which I have to be very careful.
For the back and wriste I have not yet found exercises really helping, I just try not to hurt them too much..like while I work I am changing position or by using my other arm when possible.
Like I said in my prvious message…my shoulder is quite good after it did heal about 90 %. So for now, for the shoulder I will only do relaxing exercises not to get it too stiff again.
The pain to the wriste comes from repeated movements and the pain in the back come from using a heavy machine too often and too long time at once, so I try to sut the job in 2 different times in the day when possible.

Find songs in hebrew
Hebrew online songs or videos

I have a few songs but I would like to have more as I miss to hear hebrew and I would like a wider variety of songs, and also some recent ones.
It is not easy to find them on youtube because they are mainly listed in hebrew language which I cannot write.
About two years ago someone here helped me for links on youtube and also gave me a link of a Israeli music radio, but I can’t find it.

If anyone know where or how I can find them, please let me know….thanks.

get my iron level up
I have to get my iron level up...

as I really want to give blood but I was refused because my iron level was not enough high to be donor…even though they said it was ok for me.
They adviced me not to take tablets but just check my food would be more healthy.
I already eat quite healthy…compare to all the people I know around me…but obviously I am doing something wrong.
So I start to eat a bit more meat, more green veggies, also drink or eat food with C vitamins since I read it helps the body to absorb the iron.

If anyone has any tips or suggestions…feel free to let me know, but I like to do only natural things, no chemical or unhealthy trick to get my iron higher at next test.

go outside more (read all 13 entries…)
At least 1H.30min today

This morning I worked outside for over 30 minutes in my wolunteering job “picking up litter”.
Then, just after work I went for a gentle walk and some bird sighting…saw more than a few different birds…Herons, Cormorans, Hooper Swans, 1 Merlin, lots of Gulls and Ducks, etc
