I’ve decided. I’m going to go snowboarding this Christmas break. I get two weeks off and it’s totally within my budget! I know that my little brother will want to go with me considering he has a board and hasn’t really used it yet. I’m so excited!

How I did it: I had an event to attend and nothing to wear, so it put a little fire under my tush to actually sew a darn dress I've been talking about for so long. The pattern had already been cut, so that saved me a lot of time. The style was also very simple. I suggest to start with something basic to give you confidence and build your skills. You don't want to give-up before you begin. Once the fabric was cut I started sewing… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I researched apartment listings through on-line agencies that I felt were reputable (Lodgis) and finally selected one within my budget that was located in a neighborhood that I like and that I know is always busy with people (Montmartre). Once I had my apartment set up I bought a plane ticket and packed my bags. It was really just a matter of finding a place to live that I knew I would enjoy and feel safe in. I want many things. Some of those are good, and would be good for me. The question is, do I need them? I’m pretty sure that the answer is no, but that doesn’t change the fact that I want them. Gotta let it go.
3 years, 7 e-mails and many thousands of dollars later, I’m moving to Paris!
Yes people, you read correctly. I am going to be living in Paris this summer. I cannot even believe that it’s happening, but it truly is. I’ve dreamed about this moment in my life for over 3 years now. I’ve planned, researched, planned some more and continued to hum and haw over finances, apartments and dates. It all came down to taking the opportunity, even if it was a scaled down version of my ideal dream of experiencing a whole year there. I’m looking forward to dew filled mornings along the Seine, afternoon slumbers under the shade of green filled parks, decorative sweets that look too perfect to eat and evenings strolling along boulevards in the ‘city of lights’.
