Mushroom Bourguignon

Yesterday my wife showed me a recipe for :Mushroom Bourguignon”:http://thesimpleveganista.blogspot.com/2012/11/mushroom-bourguignon_10.html She said it looked good and I should try making it. And if i did she might even eat some. The thing about this recipe is that it is vegan. My wife does not like to eat vegan. The fact she even said she would eat it is amazing to me. She hardly ever eats any of my vegan meals.

Then last night, she mentioned she was going grocery shopping and would I like the Mushroom Bourguignon for dinner. Now this is totally amazing that she would actually make a vegan meal. I said “Of course!!” Now that is totally amazing that she actually wanted to cook a vegan meal.

She did make it and it was great. And with her making dinner, I got a great 20 mile bike ride in after work. Thanks Honey for the amazing dinner.

This goal

I am starting this goal to counteract some of the negative things I see and read throughout a day’s activities. There are a lot of bad things happening every day. The news media and even friends discuss these things all the time. It becomes very depressing, at least to me it does.

But there are a lot of good, amazing and positive things that happen every day. They are all around us. Sometimes they just tend to get lost in all the bad and negative things. So I’m going to try and find one everyday. I’m sure I can and I hope I can write them all here.

Name Change to this Goal

I have been meaning to change this goal around a bit for some time. Finally, I have the time and the inclination to do it.

I was on the Kiva site the other day and saw there are 43 countries I have not yet given a loan. So, that is the new goal. It gives me some incentive to visit the site more often, see what my balance is and who is out there I can offer a loan.

Yesterday, I found Dolinda from Mozambique who wants to buy some kitchen wares to build up her business. Now, only 42 more countries to go.
