I did this for over a year and tried to pick it up again. I found that I really didn’t go over the correct amount for my size and intended weight, but it wasn’t helping. I didn’t need to push myself to stay at that number of calories or to avoid the foods which often make me sick, but I wasn’t losing weight (which was my goal).
I’ve since started exercising and keep a diary of miles run (and calories used in a place that isn’t as prominent, since I want it to be secondary to miles) and have found that to be much more beneficial. I’m also down 8 lbs. in one month, which is the rate I’d been hoping for. :) Go me!
