It’s true, I really did. I’ve been here twice, but somehow even before I did, I knew this was the place for me. I’ve got the next year of my life planned (even though I hate living by a plan sometimes you’ve got to), and that plan ends in me moving there. I’m also going back to SF this summer to hang out and enjoy the scenery with friends. I really cannot wait. When I’m away from San Francisco my mind is always there.

How I did it: I had professional help combined with medicine for years...I found the medicine only made things worse. I took techniques from things I talked to my doctor about, breathing techniques, yoga, and meditation to help calm myself down when I felt an episode beginning. After years of learning to recognize the symptoms, I was able to get them under control without the use of medicine or any outside stimuli. Read how I did it…
I love it. I love the idea of body art. I have 3 tattoos and I always take a large amount of time at deciding what I want. I was born a hippie and will always be one. I’ve always believes in the idea of peace, the act of peace and the need to encourage peace to others. That is why I want to get a tattoo of a peace sign. I’m not sure where, but I’m looking to get it soon.
This is an ongoing struggle for me. It’s been about six years but I’m getting to the point where I know the warning signs and have found ways to help me get through it. Breathing exercises, my own ways to calm myself through music, writing, and painting. It’s going to be a long journey throughout my life but I’m getting a handle on it better than a few years ago.
