How I did it: I've wanted a septum piercing since what seems like the dawn of time, but kept putting it off due to money/parents/etc. I finally got it done about 3 weeks ago, and it's AWESOME. It hurt pretty bad, it makes your eyes tear up like crazy, and it's hard to pick your nose for a few days afterward (don't even play like you don't pick your nose), but I am so so so happy with it. I already have my septum, but my new thang is getting both of my nostrils pierced. I just got the left one done, and am going to wait a few weeks to get the other one… I’d rather heal one piercing at a time, and plus, I want to ease my mom into this. She was not pleased by the prospect.
I decided to try henna because my hair was completely ruined from chemical dyes/bleaching. It was some nasty orange color from the dye fading badly, and I couldn’t cover it up without doing more damage.
Anyway, I ordered from mehandi.com (really fast shipping BTW), and I’m pretty pleased with the results. It turned out darker than I would’ve liked, a really dark auburn, but it’s all good. I think I dyed it about a month ago, and the color hasn’t faded much at all.
I’ve used Manic Panic “Vampire Red” a few times in my life, and enjoyed the neon hair… while it lasted. Manic Panic washes out super quick, and my hair was so dry from the bleaching it didn’t keep the color as well.
