I enjoyed this book. Not quite as much as the first in the series, but I liked it. The main detractor was that the plot seemed a bit of a rehash of the first book (same things happened to different people). Overall, though, Carey brought enough new things to the plot, but maintained enough from the first book to keep things enjoyable.
