How to Swim with Dolphins

When I went on vacation in the Florida Keys, I visited the Dolphin Research Center, where I got to get in the water with the dolphins and swim with them, and even got them to do tricks! The trainers were with you, and would teach you how to get them to jump, flip, dance, and even hold your hands!

The DRC is a educational and research facility that is home to rescued and rehabilitated dolphins and sea lions. Here is a link to their website: http://www.dolphins.org/

Sing in front of a crowd
Solo Performance with the Charlotte Symphony

I got to experience this magical moment in my second year in college. I was a music major (concentrated in voice) and my instructor was actually the director of the Charlotte Chorale at the time and they were having a Christmas concert with the Charlotte Symphony playing the music. I was asked to sing the solo “Lament” in Rene Clausen’s “A New Creation”. I was probably more nervous than I could have seemed, but it was definitely worth it, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I must say, it sends chills down my spine to be singing in front of so many people with only a oboe, cello, and flute playing underneath your voice.
