2009.06.07: It doesn’t have outoor seating, but I noticed while flipping through ‘The Insider’s Edinburgh’ yesterday that Olaroso on Hanover (or is it Castle?)was lauded for haviing ‘the best bloody marys in the city’.

2009.06.08: I registered at Argos.com and searched the blender listings, placing the one I thought was the best selection for me on my ‘wish list’.
2009.06.08 I opted out of what may well be the most exciting tournament of the year; the Jack Willis sponsored matches between Eton/Harrow, Harvard/Yale, and Oxford/Durham down in Windsor this weekend. The timing was just wrong, and the expense as we are buying a house and I am purchasing some nice birthday presents for my wife this month is stretching the budget. More significantly, the schedule would ave required three days, with travel down Friday and back Sunday, so that would be two overnights for the day of polo, and also require my wife to arrange childcare for the boys on Friday. Sad to miss it but I think – despite it being on the 43 Things list—not going this time out was the right thinng to do.
