I met this guy on Craigslist who was going to become my friend, and have a very beneficial influence on me. So we started hanging out, and very soon made crazy plans: let’s learn to do this, let’s visit this place, let’s create a film festival…
I learnt a lot from him, about the city and about life; how to make it in life. I feel I’ve become much more self-confident and driven. And he has enriched my American culture, too.
Now we’re not as friends as we used to be but I still respect him, and I am grateful for he contributed to my personality & knowledge.

One of my first memories in the San Francisco State University MBA was the welcome conference. A panel of alumni had come to talk about their experiences. I remember one girl, in particular, who said she graduated with honors. She was pretty and spoke in a soft, assured voice. I knew at this moment that I had to graduate with honors myself.
...
Of course I had to work a lot, and I ended up doing other people’s work at time, but it paid off.
I graduated with a 3.86 GPA and I’m now a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society. I found a job right when I graduated.
And by “him” I mean K__.
I can only hope this goal stays on my list for long long years.
and I’ll reach it when I’m 74!
My whole life with you.
