...I suppose I should actually weigh myself at some point, huh?I’ll figure it out tomorrow morning and post it then.

I’ve been medically overweight (though never obese) for most of my life. About 6 years ago, I lost 25 pounds to bring me down to the upper end of the “normal” weight/BMI for my height. Another 15 pounds (if I’m right about what I weigh now) will put me smack in the center of the “healthy weight” range for my height.

I’m shooting for about a pound a week. That means it’ll be mid-
April, if I can do this.

Such a long time 3 years ago

It’s almost the end of the year. And I’ve barely set foot in the gym for months. I grabbed someone I know who goes to the same gym, and asked her if she wanted to catch a step class this evening. So now I can’t weasel out. Plus, this is the semester break, so I have more time.

My goal for this week: go today, and at least once more by Sunday. Small steps.



Publish Dissertation (read all 2 entries…)
A minor milestone 4 years ago

OK, maybe a major one for me. This morning, I wrote the first new words in over 2 years on my dissertation-cum-book. The words are crap - more like an e-mail than a manuscript - but I’m getting ideas down.

Still afraid it’ll suck, though.
