- Back to work from a week vacation and I got a promotion. Woohoo.
- My friend/coworker is coming back to work soon.
- Father V came to pray with us.
It’s been a year. I put white flowers on her resting place just the other day. Everybody still misses her but the whole family has accepted that she’s gone and been really doing okay. Writing entries was really helpful. Reading your comments was really helpful. I also think that just saying hi to her at her resting place in the backyard really helped us grieve.
I asked my dad if he wanted to join us today. The three of us walked the pier. At first, nephew wasn’t enjoying the walk. He wanted to play in the sand. We stopped here and there to watch the surfers and just enjoy the day. At the end of the pier, we ate lunch at Ruby’s. Then, headed down to the warm sand. Nephew played a little. Got our feet wet (A must.) That’s our rule. You’ve never really gone to the beach until you get your feet wet.
...after leaving Crystal Cove. We left our beach stuff in the car and took a walk in the sand…took wacky photos…put more sunblock…more wacky photos, then grab a bite at panera and left. It was a perfect day to go to the beach.
I’ve been here twice before and I enjoyed it every time. I wanted to bring my nephew here to see the tidepools. So we went this morning. We got there a little bit late 10 am, so the tide was not so accomodating to see little sea creatures. We still had fun. Nephew made sandcastle. Saw some seagulls. Waded in the water, then read the sign that we should avoid water contact after wading in the water. Ayyy, oh well. We really, really enjoyed it.
