I live in a space 1/4 the size of the home I owned in another state. When I moved here, I put everything I owned except for bare necessities in a huge double-car garage-sized, 2-story storage unit… and it got wiped out completely during the CA fires. Everything was gone! I was completely devastated for weeks. But after the initial shock wore off, I began wondering what the Universe was trying to teach me. Soon I began to realize that things can & do hold great sentimental value to me, but all too often they’ve weighed me down & anchored me too firmly in the past. So now I look at what I have left & realize I’m being summoned to give away everything I don’t need or use right now. By giving these things to others I’m paying forward a little & it leaves room in my life for an abundant life of a different kind.
