I hope I don’t butcher this saying completely but it goes something like this:
“The one who is the richest is the one who wants the least”.
So as long as all of your needs are met. Then you should learn the secret of being content with what you do have. Then you can put your money to work in other areas like investments and other assets that will pay you back in time.
Eventually you’ll get to a point where you no longer have to worry about money and can “relax about money”.

So one way to be smarter about money is read more.
It doesn’t have to cost a lot either. Go and linger at your local library and you find a lot of material to look over. Go to the Periodical section and you can find a lot of great magazines that have short but informative articles for you to read up on finances.
Of course there is also the Internet. The other most valuable thing to do would be to seek out a rich friend or relative and ask for their advice.
People are usually flattered when you ask them for advice.
They then have to live up to your expectation that they are an expert and they will give you free advice.

I guess I know what this Goal is trying to say but it is an oxymoron.
To produce Financial wealth or abundance means to produce enough value that other people are willing to pay you for it.
So you are dependant or obliged to all the people who paid you for your goods or service.
Look at Microsoft. There is a lot of wealth there. Can they just Pitch Windows and go off and do something else now? No the whole world has a dependency on them that they must honor. If they didn’t they would lose value in the minds of their consumers and all their revenue would dry up.
They have to do what the Market expects of them.
In a similar way when we produce wealth then Market expectations are put on us.
The other angle is that you want people to depend on your Financial wealth. You want your accumulated wealth to hold value for as long as you have a lot of it. You want your money to be worth something so that you can trade it for other goods and services.
So you see, there is no such thing as Financial independence.
Here is a tip though. If you want to learn to make money on the Internet. Try googling “Day Job Killer” right about now.
And if you are looking for the best deal on it.
