First to the mountains by Guadalajara’s Lakeside region and then to Mazatlan’s beaches across from Baja. It has been a great experience for our family. We are much closer to each other and to God …it’s definitely worth doing. We didn’t need much Spanish at Lake Chapala but we need it more now. We get by with our broken Spanish but I want to speak fluently. The people are so nice and so relaxed. I like living in a relaxing atmosphere. Most people have no idea how stressed they are and what they are putting up with. Most of our friends and family still don’t understand us doing this so don’t expect much support.

At first I was very happy to be helping out but then …I was sore in my arm for 2 months! And you know what else? I got weaker …and colder. I used to be an unusually warm person but ever since I gave blood, I get cold and have to wear sweaters or jackets. And I’m not as strong as I used to be in my arm. Strange coincidence? Bad timing? I had my 3rd daughter a year or so before, so who knows, but I won’t do it again.

But it started to get kinda dry so, be sure to use a GREAT conditioner all the time, if you want to dye your hair. AND Then my hair kept getting lighter and lighter …I couldn’t stop it. So, I had to dye it darker to try to return more to normal color …with lots of conditioning, since it was getting more dry. I really like short pink hair, although that is impossible for me. I think highlights are the best way to go, and not pink unless you are Very Young.
