I´ve learned Spanish at uni and have been trying to improve (or at least keep it up) ever since. Best way, obviously, is to visit Spanishspeaking countries. Buy a gossipmagazine (lots of pics so easier to understand), watch Spanish TV (soap series!), speak it, etc. It helps a lot when you already know French and/or Latin. I tried Italian but got hopelessly confused!

As many others here agree upon: a wonderful place on Earth. The nature, the people, the climate, the culture…Can´t wait to go back! And see more of the North (Northland, Coromandel), Nelson, Abel Tasman and further, Mt. Cook. Even consider living in Wellington, friendly but cosmopolitan. GO THERE!
How to keep it up? Ofcourse, visit lovely Spain (Barcelona once again, Madrid, Basque country, Galicia, islands) and South America, Mexico, Cuba. Watch Spanish movies, read Spanish books and articles, meet Spanish people…
