important. When I originally wrote this, this beautiful creature was in arm’s reach. Now she lives in a different household and has grown a year older. She no longer bounds up steps or jumps fences. Her eyes, deep brown, soulful and intelligent, belie her world weariness.
I kiss her nose every time I leave, and she seems to miss me. I miss her more. But she has no idea nor could I ever explain it. I just have to show her. I hug her often.
