Although I listen in the car, the ipod has been an invaluable tool for working out.

Today marks the beginning of my 36th week of being a non-smoker. I am so happy, and feel so much better.
The day I quit, I joined a gym. Mainly I wanted to keep from gaining weight. I ended up losing over 20 lbs! Now, I work out with weights and do aerobics 4-5 days per week.
Also, I am happy that I am not spending money that is literally going up in smoke.
I won’t lie and say that I don’t miss it from time to time, especially when I hang out with other people who smoke. But, I just try to look past that moment, and pretend I’m “looking back” on that as a moment that I resisted temptation.
No one can make you quit smoking, but also remember that nobody can make you smoke either. Don’t give in to the temptation to smoke with friends or to how good it looks on tv and movies. For me, it got to the point that it was embarrasing for me.
An added bonus is that I no longer have to go into convenience stores. I hate them!
