Today was the Edinburgh Great Run (10km) and S and I ran it in just under an hour. I thought that because we normally train on a flat course that it would take longer but I came in at 58:48. It was so sunny and hot during the run that I wasn’t sure I would make it but passing the finish line goes to show what pushing yourself can do.

Finally a good idea!
After a very bumpy last couple of weeks, trying to think up ideas for book (werewolf, vampire, loner on a mission, man who wastes his life working) I have finally started a story that I like. I’ve taken a tip from Ernest Hemmingway and just made it as simple as I can, just the bones of character, plot and description. Its a little ‘Old Man and The See’y, but we’ll see where it goes.

Well i’ve passed the two beginner’s discs on Michel Thomas to refresh myself. I’ve been listening to CD4 this week while running and learning all about how Spanish is like Shakespeareian.
