I finished Madame Bovary a couple of weeks ago. Not a bad book. As a woman though, I found her extremely annoying and if I ever met her, I’d punch her in the face.

How I did it: I decided to spend my day off of work museum hopping since I get in to all the local museums for free with my museum badge. I went to the Museum of Natural History, the Botanical Gardens, MOCA, and the Sculpture Center. MOCA is in the process of building a new museum so I wanted to check out their current location before it is no more. It was great! They had two exhibits, one on Ohioan photographers, the other by Julian Swartz. Swartz' ex… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I had been thinking about doing this for some time, so I took a little stroll around the Internet to see what I could find in my area. I came across a Krav Maga center this is about a 20 minute drive from where I live. So I checked it out on their intro night and I loved it! I've been going there since January a couple times a week. How I did it: Well it took me 2 rounds of applications, but I finally did it! This year I applied to 5 schools, including the 3 that I applied to last year. So far I've heard back from 3. The first two were rejections, but I just got an acceptance last week! Read how I did it…

This was kind of a crazy week for this goal. My work schedule varies so it’s hard to get up as early as I would for the opening shift when I come in later. However, I did manage to do that a couple of days. It was so nice to have the extra time in the morning. I had so much time that I went to the grocery store and got dinner started before work! I’ll definitely try harder on this goal this week.
I’ve started reading Madame Bovary, but in the original French. This way not only am I working on this list, but I am also preparing for my language exam that I have to take in September! So far so good though I always make sure to read the summaries on Sparknotes.com after I finish a section to make sure I didn’t miss anything in the translation.
