After having that blister for about two weeks (it healed so slowly), I finally ran today. I was on the treadmill, though, and I probably had it going to fast after a two week absence, but at least I don’t feel guilty about not running anymore. =)
I’m not going to be able to run tomorrow or Tuesday, though, because we’re going on vacation. However, we’ll be walking around a lot, so I think that’ll make up for it.

I’ve just realized now (yeah, I’m a little slow) that just about all the snow is gone, which means I’ll have to wait until next year! I completely forgot about this goal!

I haven’t been doing very well at this lately: it’s so difficult when your mouth has a billion cuts and things in it!

One point less than last time! It was the E scale, which is funny, because last playing exam I did that one perfectly! Oh well; this score is still great, and I did A LOT better than I thought I would. The night before I was stressing out about all the scales I had to learn and had neglected to practice as much as I should have, but it turned out okay!

Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux was, naturally, very good, though very different from the musical. It was funny, though: in the movie, I wanted to strangle Raoul (sp?) and I actually liked Christine, but in the book it was vice versa!

I shouldn’t have worn those fuzzy ankle socks when I was running. I usually don’t, but I figured I would be okay on Saturday. Wrong. I basically rubbed a layer off a layer of skin off a small area of my heel, but there’s no way I can wear those shoes and run without opening the cut back up. So this is my second day in a row not running. =(

I just finished Survivor by Chuck Palahniuk. Not one of my favorites of his books I’ve read, but it was still funny nevertheless.

Small Steps by Louis Sachar. It’s been so long since I read Holes, but I had to read this sequel. It was pretty much like a soap opera, but you know, that’s what I get for reading YA books. XD

Maybe A Miracle by Brian Strause went into some pretty deep topics, but there was something about it I just didn’t like. Plus it got tiresome when Annika didn’t wake up until the very end of the book. XD

I really need to upload some of my pictures! I haven’t uploaded any of them since before Valentine’s Day…

Just finished The Kiss by Kathryn Harrison. It was very well written, but it was just an okay book, in my opinion.

The Magician’s Nephew by C.S. Lewis finished. I know the books are for younger kids, but I’ve never read this entire series, only The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. It was a quick read, but it wasn’t enjoyable or horrendous, either way.

My Spanish teacher wouldn’t let me go to my sax lesson yesterday…he seemed to believe that music is just an “extra thing”, and that I didn’t have to go. Nevermind that going to lessons is part of my grade, and that music enriches a person’s life, right?

Today was the first day since starting this goal that it’s been warm enough for me to run outside! Of course, it was extremely foggy, and it was raining, but it was a nice break from the treadmill. And I ran the mile I measured out earlier today faster than I thought I might have; in accordance with my goal for myself, I need to shave off twelve seconds of my time today, and I’ll be at an eleven minute mile, which is good for me.

I just finished The World According to Garp by John Irving yesterday. It was a slow read, but a good story, and the characters were so realistic.

Today was the first time since January 1st, when I started this goal, that I haven’t run for two days in a row: yesterday I pulled a muscle in my neck and therefore did not run, and I’m not running today, in order to let it heal. However, if the weather keeps up, I’d like to run outside sometime this week, which I haven’t been able to do since I’ve started the goal. Besides, there’s nothing to look at when you’re running on a treadmill!

We made some mini Valentine’s Day cakes back on the 14th, but they were out of cake mix, so I don’t think those count. They were good, though. ;-)

I’m such a slacker! I forgot to make an entry about Ella Enchanted as well. I know the book’s for kids, but it was a fun read, even if it wasn’t well written. I also realized how much they changed the story in the movie: a lot. O.O

I finished this a while ago, but forgot to put it up! It was On Writing by Stephen King.
