I work for Congress and staffers get to check out personal books from the LoC. It is overwhelming!

So, I was reading the greatest magazine ever and saw an apartment redecoration section. They were focusing on small spaces, so it was even better. The “after” apartment had similar shape and light to mine and the general shapes, colors and all appealed to me so I decided to try to make something similar here, though more classic and formal.
I also found a still from one of my very favorite movies, Indiscreet, and just love the tailored, crisp, colorful apartment where ingrid Bergman lives. I am trying to make that formal, tailored look a bit more relaxed and updated.
I think I’m mixing the two pretty well. I just had to let go of the idea that it might be a disaster. If it is terrible, I will sell what doesn’t work or paint it or something. I just decided to try.
