I saw the Northern Lights a few years ago while getting in my car at my apartment in Tacoma, Washington. We don’t see the lights very often down here, and it startled me at first when I saw the green shimmering in the sky. I had to call my dad just to make sure I was really seeing what I thought I was seeing. But once I got past the inital weirdness and could enjoy the lightshow, it was truly awe inspiring. Someday, I hope to see the full color version!

I’m SOO glad to see I’m not the only one that wants to do this! OK, there are just 3 others listed in this category, so it’s not like the most popular hobby one can take up, but I’m glad to see that I’m not alone in my bizarre fascination with this instrument (...of torture, my boyfriend says!)
