How I did it: First, I cleared everything out of the garage. I rented a PODS unit and just left it in the driveway to keep the stuff in temporarily. Then I hired a contractor to put drywall on the walls. Then I painted the drywall with Super White, and did the window sills with a vermillion color. Next came the longest process: cleaning and painting the concrete. I actually had the contractor do the first, hardest level of cleaning with a special concr… Read how I did it…
How I did it: All I had to go on was my father's memory of his father's full name and that he came from Philadelphia. The rest I tracked down from antique street directories, federal censuses, genealogy resources, and finally, a genealogist who specialized in Philadelphia. Then I used Ancestry.com to find the English side of the family, but I couldn't have found them without the previous work on this side of the Pond. How I did it: I had dreamed up the idea of a cat-cam a couple of years ago but couldn't get anyone technical to help me realize my dream of building one. A few months ago, I searched for something like it online and found Mr. Lee's Catcam, so I bought it. I finally figured out how to use it, bought a memory chip for it, waited for a dry day, and put it on my cat's collar. When Nicky got back home from his travels, I took the camera off him, plugged it … Read how I did it…

I’ve been pondering whether I should turn my independent website into a page on Facebook, for this one particular project, and I’ve decided to give it a try. It’s the kind of thing that is evolving organically, and I think the versatility of FB will be just what I need for this.
I’m getting better from the last flare up. Tomorrow I have some MRIs; we’ll see if there are lesions now. I kind of hope there still aren’t any visible, because it will reinforce how mild my case is, but I’m prepared for the idea that they may be showing now.
Either way, I know I’ll always recover at least 98 percent from my flares, and the research on treatments is getting more and more specific.
