buy a new car
Really not worth it 1 month ago

Once you drive the car off the lot, it depreciates in value so much. This is not an advertisement, but I bought my last car from Carmax and just like all their ads say, it was hassle-free.

No pressure from the salespeople and they were not sexist pigs (like at ALL and I mean all of the other places I’ve been). Well, except for the last corporate dealership, where the sales guy was nice,(the car had a high price tag) but I could pick up on the vibe from the other people.

Some men emit a negative/jealous/angry vibe about a female buying an expensive car independently. I never got this vibe from anyone at Carmax.

I bought a car that was 4 years old but only had 14,000 miles on it. It was thoroughly checked out w/ all the reports and my mechnaic checked it out.

I bought a high-end car. I could have bought another new/used car with only 350 miles on it, and it was $10,000 below the original asking price.

This is the way to go, folks, if you are wise, especially in this economy, imho.

I will never buy another NEW car again. It just doesn’t make sense to me and my wallet/savings acct.

Go on a Monday! 2 months ago

Yes, like the Red Cross gal on the phone said, “Go on a Monday,” you can just walk right in. And I did. I was seen right away, went into the room for the pin prick and iron test, answered the ?s on the computer, (the nutty but important questions about having sex with a transvestite or something like that). There’s a question about babesience or some word like that. I have to google that term; it always cracks me up.

Long story short, I was at the snacks table an hour later and out the door 1 hr, 15 minutes later. Met some nice people too.

Got to Get Back in the SeWiING of Things 2 months ago

Sewed a little bit at the end of the school year. Didn’t sew at all in the summer, but I am going to my first Sewing Meet Up next weekend. Can’t wait.
