1. Going to church this morning all together. We haven’t been in soooo long and I missed it. The kids were really well behaved ~ thank goodness. I am so proud of them.
2. Seeing the kids all dressed up in their Sunday best. They looked wonderful!
3. Going for a long walk today. My back is still bothering me so my physiotherapist has suggested walking instead of running until my disc feels better.
4. Plans for a fun afternoon at my SIL. The kids are very excited.
5. Plans for a quiet evening tonight ~ perhaps a chat with hubby on the front porch or a rental movie.
Enjoy your Sunday everyone!

1. Soccer this morning with the kids was great! They both really ran around and got some goals. Their Nana came to watch which was extra nice for them.
2. Eldest feeling confident enough to attend a friend’s birthday party without me. It still makes me nervous because of ‘surprises’ that are sometimes associated with diabetes (low blood sugars).
3. Spending some quality time with little one and hubby while eldest was at the birthday party. What a little character! You don’t always get to notice everything about each one when they are both together.
4. Watching a movie all together – even though I think it was too scary for the kids (Spiderwick) – hubby’s idea. I loved cuddling on the couch with little one while eldest cuddled with hubby.
5. Fool’s Gold – an after the kids were in bed flick – I really enjoyed it!

As a young girl, my mother and I always did a lot of things together. A lot of the things we would do would be artistically inclined which has led to my love of all things artsy-craftsy.
I am a perpetual planner. Tie that in with my love of documenting all things relating to my children and BAM you’ve got creative project city.
Here are some of the things that I have in the works:
- family tree (one for each child)
- family history book ~ this idea just came to me in the shower this morning while I was shaving my legs!
Each page of the book would be dedicated to one family member and would have interesting facts and tidbits about their lives, connections, etc. and would have pictures to one side of them from various stages of life. Oh, x2, so that both children can have one.
- shadow box memory frames ~ a frame for each child’s knit baby hat, newspaper clipping, etc.
- work on updating both children’s baby journals
- creating new journals for writing down things about each of them now
- art portfolios for each child with their artwork from preschool, JK and SK.
- continue developing all my pictures and putting them in albums
- archive all pictures onto disc so that I can free up space on my computer
- creating a photobook from one of those online retailers like snapfish or the like
I’ve even thought about scrapbooking but I think that would put me over the deep end. I vow to start tackling these projects and to not tackle any new ideas until these ones are completed.

1. SoveryAudreyH – for recommending “The Apartment” to me – I really enjoyed it ~ thank you!
2. Positive feedback on how both kids are doing in swim class – they only have one thing each to work on.
3. The new USB device that arrived today – it should make things easier for downloading eldest’s insulin pump information, etc. ~ now, I just need to figure out how it works…
4. A beautiful day filled with sunshine, a nice breeze, and lots of fun with my kids! My DH is off tomorrow for four days ~ so, we’re all looking forward to that! Time to pick one of our summer destinations!
5. OPI’s ~ Grand Central Carnation ~ love the colour on my toes!
Happy 4th of July Wishes to all American 43T’ers!!!

1. Hubby brought me flowers!
2. Plans to take the kids out this afternoon. There is a singing performance for children at the downtown library and I thought it would be fun to go.
3. Taking a break from cleaning yesterday to go outside with the kids for some fresh air, a bike ride to the park, and drawing with chalk on our sidewalk.
4. Hubby came home a bit earlier last night, which was nice. About a half hour before we were going to put the kids to bed, one of hubby’s friends came by with his girlfriend so we chatted outside while the kids played before bed. We rarely do couple things so it was nice.
5. My new printer – I love it!

1. Watching my little one’s jump off the diving board at swimming class today. I love how fearless they are.
2. The library ~ conveniently located in the same building as the pool. Gotta love that!
3. The bright sunshiny day – with a light breeze. Perfect!
4. The familiar and soothing sound of a mourning dove. It reminds me of my youth and vacationing at my grandparent’s house in Florida. Very happy times :)
5. Cleaning the top of the cupboards today and emptying out the decorative baskets and their contents to clean away the dust. Later today I will have my head in the fridge to give that a good cleaning too!

1. Today is Canada’s birthday! I am proud to be Canadian :)
2. Hubby went into work later today so he could come watch the kids at their swimming class with me. We laughed at how fearless they both are.
3. Our big ‘adventure walk’ after lunch on the front porch. The kids love exploring on the wooded trail by our house which leads out to a duck pond at the end.
We brought a box of crackers to feed to the ducks and the happy quacking made my children giggle so sweetly.
4. Going to see my parents at their house. The kids and I had lots of fun. I love the times that we are all together.
5. My parents watching the kids while I floated on my back, ears submerged, so that all I heard was my own breath and the sound of the water swooshing by me as a swam and all I saw was the beautiful blue sky, dotted with fluffy white clouds and the occasional hawk flying by.

1. Swimming lessons started this morning and the kids had lots of fun!
2. A quick trip to the library. I picked up some Level 1 reader books for my eldest and a few movies for hubby and I to see tonight. ~ I love the library!~
3. Hubby found out that one of his good friends is in town and they will probably go out for a run together in the next few days. I think it’s important for him to see his friends and he rarely makes time to do that.
4. The movie Wall-E was fantastic! I highly recommend it! The girls also got to see The Bee Movie at home since hubby had rented it for them. Double-feature night! Sinful sidenote: The white cheddar topping the theatre has for the popcorn is yummy.
5. Sitting outside with hubby last night talking about plans for the summer ~ which will include camping, a few amusement parks, and the zoo. Also discussed a trip to Disney World. I can’t wait to start planning for that!
Hope everyone is enjoying their Monday!

1. Pancakes for breakfast! I made silver dollar sized ones for the kiddies…they love that. Maple syrup on top….mmmmmmm!
2. We’re going to see Wall-E today at the movie theatre! Yay! I love going to the movies.
3. Today we are going to Costco to go grocery shopping all together. Boy, do we need some groceries!
4. It’s raining – all my flowers will be watered by Mother Nature today – thank you!
5. Tomorrow, swimming lessons start for the kids.
Bonus: Since hubby is home, I’m looking forward to an evening chat on the front porch with a glass of wine – if my headache stays away. Perhaps discussion of a family trip will come up – I’m thinking Disney World.

1. The kids really hussled today at soccer and had lots of fun.
2. Ate lunch outside on the front porch with the kids and enjoyed the breeze.
3. The kind and gentle nature of my children. Now if only I could get them to slow down :)
4. Today I get to be creative with dinner since we need to go grocery shopping tomorrow…looks like it may be pancakes tonight. The kids will be thrilled!
5. Plans for a lazy day (so that I can get over this headache).

1. Accompanied eldest’s class on their field trip this morning to a local bowling alley – lots of fun! One of the kids got a spare!
2. A great talk with eldest’s teacher – we should all be thankful for our wonderful teachers!!
3. My parents – for offering to take our family on a trip – even if Hubby said “no” & we won’t actually go…grrr
4. Our front porch – the perfect shaded area to watch the kids play in the front yard.
5. Seeing the excitement on my children’s faces when they hear the familiar tune of the ice cream truck & are allowed to go and get some!
Bonus: Found some phone numbers that I was looking for so that I can set up some playdates!

1. It’s a beautiful and sunny day!
2. Both my kids love being active and playing outside – today, bike riding!
3. A neighbour and I are becoming good friends (our kids are already great friends, so that’s convenient!)
4. Someone complimented me today on my new top and that put a smile on my face (since little one is suffering from sleep deprivation – from being out late watching Daddy’s race – and is driving me batty today!)
5. Little one got into the morning session of JK – which is what I was hoping for – and we now know the room number for eldest’s class – now we just need to find out which friends are in the same classroom next year!
Bonus: Both children received report cards which said that they were wonderful/delightful children to teach – makes my heart melt! I’m a lucky Mommy!
Hope everyone out there is enjoying a wonderful day!
