I put in a call today to find out if there are any regular donation rotations in my area. Plus I found out when the next one is in my area, so hopefully I can get on a regular donation schedule.

How I did it: I gave blood. It's free to find out this information if you give blood even once If you try to find out any other way, it costs money. There is no way to find out your blood type without getting stuck with a needle. This is no problem for people who are not afraid of needles. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Well, I finally moved far enough away from civilization that I had to buy a car to make it to work at all...no bus, no one to pick me up, couldn't walk it. Bought a used car that was certified by the dealership a year ago. So far I've had to register it twice ($120), get it inspected twice ($120), get it repaired twice ($200), for which I once had to rent a car for days on end ($300), oil changes every 5000 miles ($30/ea), new snow tires … Read how I did it…
How I did it: My partner and I saved all of our loose change and divided it by denomination into 4 piggy banks when we moved in together. A year ago they were so full we didn't have anywhere to put new change, so we took it to the bank and holy moly, it was $336 +/-! That's over $100 a year! So that was just motivation to start all over again! The only change that doesn't go in there is the occasional handful to replenish the meter stash that lives in … Read how I did it…

I have new member orientation at the gym tonight, plus I went back to weight watchers this week and have started keeping track again. I won’t be well enough with my arthritis for a while, so I have to take things slow. Mostly, I want to do the aqua aerobics and control my eating. After that, who knows. I’d like a small amount of success instead of a huge amount of potential!
It’s just out of control, and whatever I’m doing is not working and all the drugs are just polluting my body. Sigh. I’ve started by getting the ball rolling on a new Rheumatologist, asking my doctor for a recommendation on a nutritional person, setting up a new member orientation at the gym (I get a free membership through work and haven’t gone in, ever), then I’ll sign up for the aqua aerobics. I will go back to weight watchers. I think that’s plenty for now.
