My challenge to learn Dvorak just was marked as FAILED. But actually I didn’t fail. I learned Dvorak while I was in the army, and by now I’m even faster with it than with QWERTY. (about 70 – 80 wpm) Sadly that still doesn’t mean that I use it. I haven’t typed Dvorak for like two months now. The good thing is, that I recall it really easily. I’m typing this in Dvorak at this very moment, and it is proof enough that I leared the layout! Cheers.

How I did it: During military duty (meh, we still have this in Germany) I had a lot of spare time at my hands, and couldn't do any other tasks but office work and some occaisional browsing. So I decided to spend my time learning Dvorak in hope of it being of some use later on. So I mostly used the typing applet on hi-games.net/typing-test, nearly every day. I think it's much more important to train regulary than long, so about 30 minutes a day will be … Read how I did it…
I’ve found http://hundredpushups.com/ a little more than a month back and decided to give it a try.
The first three weeks were actually taking it a little to light on me, and I feel they did’t really pay off. However, week 4 got hard and I actually had to repeat it. Just finished it on a second go-through and will proceed with week 5 on monday. Let’s see!

Having moved in this area recently, I think this is a nice day-trip to go by bike. No idea if I could make it back on the same day, as that’s about 140 or so km.
