Ah! I knew having a poor family that doesn’t really care about me, and being of a mixed ethnic background would help me eventually! I applied early for the FAFSA, because I’m going to a junior college for my first two years, then transfering, and I have to pay for everything MYSELF.

So. Onward to the FAFSA.

From doing that, I qualified for a CAL GRANT, which gave me $1,555 the maximum you can recieve for a Community College. That’s sweet, because it covers any expenses. After a few mishaps, I finally applied properly, and recieved confirmation for my BOG WAIVER, which pays for my tuition, and school fees, like health. Also gives me a discount parking permit! The school I’m going to has a financial aid program that I want to apply to in May, because it’ll pay for my books and food on campus.

That would be fucking awesome, because then I can use my CAL GRANT for paying my RENT, since I’m moving out in Late July-Early August with Stephanie. :O

Wooooo. I’m only SEVENTEEN. Slow the fuck down, world!!

I’m super close to not graduating. You see, if I pass all of my classes, and my two night school courses [I now have 9/10 credits, and just need to turn in a notebook to finish], I’ll graduate, WITH TWO HONORS.

I have the exact number of credits required to graduate, so if I fail ONE class, I won’t graduate. D: That sucks, so hard. Now, I’m smart, and it’s easy. The thing is, my classes [other than Anthropology] are B-O-R-I-N-G. I have TWO periods of P.E. a day, because the school didn’t give it to me Freshman year, so now I have to make up the PE credits. The problem is showing up to class, because if I DO, I graduate, if I don’t… Well.

BUT THE WORLD OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL IS CALLING TO ME. D: As is my girlfriend, who’s in college. I miss her dearly during the school day. Baaah.

Basically, this is an endurance test for me. I just have to plug through it. D: Yuck-o.

Within a week of making that challenge to myself, and committing, I’ve finally got a job offer! I can work at Mrs. Field’s/Pretzel Time, but I have a day or two to get back to them. If Humboldt Bay Inn calls within that time, I’m taking that job instead, but still…! Guaranteed work! FUCK YES. It took hard work, but I’m a lot more confident in myself now.
