I just finished my first year. A lot of work, but very rewarding.

No need to elaborate. My basement is a huge pit. The only other goal I have listed on here so far is to be a missionary . . . if God said I could leave today, it’d take me a month to figure out what to do with all that junk down there!

A few years ago, I was asked to do just this! A team in our town was going to Peru, and needed an interpreter. They paid my way, and the experience was GREAT. Of course, I did loads more work than interpret, but it was one of the best experiences of my life.

Also, I interpret for community prayer and other events.

You should pray about this. If you feel led to interpret, make sure that you first know the terminology. Get some praise songs in both languages, read the Bible in the language you’re weakest in, etc. Visit a church that speaks the “other” language.

Be ready! If you are going to pray for rain, have your seed planted!
