i think it started when i was a kid and i watched cartoons bite their nails in a typewriter sort of style. once i figured out thats not how it actually works, i guess it just stuck.
this summer, ive managed to nab an internship at the local botanical garden. with all the digging around and such, i wear gloves all day so that keeps me from biting my nails while im at work at least.
how else am i going to grow my nails? no idea. but knowing that my boyfriend loves it when i scratch his back is motivation!

as i sit here thinking about my “graduate from college” and “pass chemistry” goals, i realize that maybe i should have put some kind of order on my current 14 things.
now that i have some how managed to completely fail at chemistry (not once, but twice), i’ve also jacked up my GPA in the process.
what i’ve decided to do about this god awful class:
-suck it up: i have to take it to graduate…and to move on to the next two chemistry classes.
-actually be dedicated to it: set aside time to really go over class notes. not just memorize it but understand why it is. i know i have more classes to take than i’ll be able to handle, so i have to probably drop at least a class so i can make all of this possible.
- find a tutor: since i am a typical broke ass college kid and a car that needs some serious fixing, money is tight. im not sure how im going to accomplish finding a tutor who is willing to work for next to nothing. even though each recitation is assigned a grad assistant to help with whatever questions students have, but i need someone who will be able to dedicate an hour to focus on what im probably very confused and flustered about…i dont know. i guess i’ll have to wait until august to really decide about this one. study groups dont do it for me, though maybe i’ll sign up for that too.
-pass the exams!!!
