I quite fancy getting a Lexus IS 200 like Alan Partridge had, it’s a seriously good looking car, and I don’t quite know why else I want one, but rest assured I’m getting one, or possibly one of the new IS range, which admittedly are less aesthetically pleasing.

How I did it: Bought my new Acer laptop today. Very pleased with it up to now, managed to get a heavily discount laptop bag/starter kit thrown in as part of the deal, this laptop isn't just going to allow me to watch TV or YouTube in bed, but also help with my career and business projects, if you are sitting on the cash like I was, put it to good use and go out and get that laptop!!!Laptop bought: Friday 9th October 2009Place: PC World Manchester, UK Read how I did it…
How I did it: I used vistaprint for mine, I don't want to approve one business card service over another, but I'm sure there are many good ones out there, Google is your best bet, although for me (in the UK) I went with Vista Print.Anyway, I designed my business card in Photoshop, being sure to use the template .psd file provided by the printing company.I'm not a very artistic person, so scoured the net for ideas, I eventually came across a very plain,… Read how I did it…
How I did it: Some weeks ago I got the first hints from my sister that a friend of hers was marketing a new product and needed a website for it and was wondering if I was willing to take the job.Being unemployed and having no money, I agreed to do it if we could agree a price, though to be truthful, I was pretty nervous at the time, I had never done freelance work before and was doubtful my skills were up to scratch to market a product online. After agr… Read how I did it…

I’m working on my first C# program, an image host gallery ripper, it will hopefully automatically download an entire gallery of images from a specified URL and then put them in a folder on the user’s system.
Beavering away with my project, I’ve stuck with it and the end is finally in sight, although inevitably at this time I begin to see things I could have done better or in a different way, although I should really see this as a good thing as it adds to my experience.
I had a brief idea of the functions I’d need, although getting round to actually coding the backend stuff I soon realised that there’d be a lot more coding than I anticipated.
All that remains after completing the remaining two functions is to undertake some serious testing, cleanup some code and prettify the UI. Once that is done, I’ll be ready to deploy, crack open a beer and perhaps even give my chair a tilt!
