I had suggested this to my boss in mid-2006, with an extremely positive feedback on his side. We had looked into several schools, and finally decided to go with ZFU because they offered modules instead of one single block.
I had gotten the go ahead from my boss and the head of HR (needed their approval because of the estimated cost of 20’000 Swiss Franks) and had actually signed up for the program when the whole thing was cancelled by the CEO due to budget constraints.
Now, six months later, we’re giving this another try. A project I was projected to head has been moved to November, clearing space in my agenda, allowing me to follow some training. And what’s better for a project manager than project management training?

I have owned this book (books, actually) for 15 years, but I have never gotten around to reading them. This is mostly due to the fact that when people talk about Proust’s writing style, the mention how long-winded it is. Also, I read better in German and English than in French (even though I speak better French than English… go figure!) And there are always other (easier) books to read lying around.
Currently, I’m reading “Ilium” by Dan Simmons, and one of his Characters in that book is a frevent admirer of Proust’s writing. Maybe that will finally motivate me to tackle this challenge!

My wife is a language teacher at a renowned language school in Switzerland. I mentioned wanting to learn Arabic several times to her and she promised to ask her boss if they offered lessons in Arabic at their school.
Turns out they used to have High Arabic as one of their courses, but the teacher left Switzerland it has proven to be difficult to find a replacement. The funny thing thouth is that the school’s boss als wants to learn Arabic herself, so there might be a chance she will end up finding somebody
